（目的） 海面及び内水面養殖業で発生する種々の魚病について治療や防疫対策を研究するとともに、養殖漁家への指導を行い、養殖業の健全な発展に寄与する。
（Objective） This Section contributes to the healthy development of aquaculture business. The staff studies the treat-ment and preventive methods for controlling various fish diseases in sea and fresh water fish for instructing fish farmers.
